Sean Woods knew he was going to have to 'clarify' those statements he made about Kentucky basketball players. Tuesday night at Rupp while he was practicing his team, he did just that.
"To set the record straight, I love my university and everybody knows that. John Calipari has been great to me and I would never do anything to hurt him and his situation. He's doing a heck of a job and I love him dearly. Whoever wears this uniform becomes my instant brother. By saying that I don't want to talk about this anymore," Woods said.
Woods said in his teleconference on Monday that he didn't like the vibe of UK's players. Tuesday he said he never should have said that. Despite saying on Monday "They didn't seem like Kentucky basketball players to me and I'll leave it at that," Woods said he was talking in general terms, not about UK players specifically.
"I didn't mean how it came out. I'm sorry the way it came out, but I was just talking in general about this day and age more so then anything else," said Woods.
