UK and John Calipari did not pull a "switch-a-roo" in Saturday's game against Louisville when Alex Poythress shot free throws instead of Nerlens Noel with about a minute to go in the first half.
UK spokesman Dewayne Peevy tweeted "Our bench argued that Poythress was fouled & the ref notified the official scorer that #22 was the shooter. It wasn't a switch-a-roo."
A video replay of the sequence shows Noel apparently to be the one who got fouled on a reach-in by U of L's Russ Smith - after Poythress drove and dished it to Noel - with 1:05 to play in the first half of the Cards' 80-77 victory. And Noel initially stepped to the line to shot before Poythress stepped in to take his place.
