Life after Nerlens Noel began in earnest today in Knoxville. Cal made a statement before the game even began, starting Alex Poythress and Ryan Harrow on the bench. Kyle Wiltjer and Jarrod Polson instead were in the starting lineup.

It didn't seem to matter who started, or who played in the game, this team couldn't function in the first half, as Kentucky trails 50-26 at the half.

From turnovers, to bad fouls, to just mistakes in general, the Cats looked lost without Nerlens Noel against a mediocre Tennessee team. Five UK players had two fouls in the first half and shot less than 30 % for the game.
