UK 90 Missouri 83 OT

There was a big hype for UK-Missouri with ESPN Gameday in town, and UK needing a win to help their case to make the NCAA Tournament.

UK has trouble putting the ball in the bucket. With 11:07 to go in the first half, UK was down 17-8 hitting only 28% from the field.

Neither team is doing much from the outside. UK was 0 for 6 and Missouri was 1-6 from downtown with Missouri up 21-14 with 7:51 to go in the half.

Alex Poythress with a big time dunk after a nice pass from Harrow. Missouri led 28-17.

With Missouri up 28-19, they have 22 points in the paint.

UK puts on a nice run. Willie Cauley-Stein's dunk to end the half makes it 35-31 Missouri.

There are two players with double figures. Ryan Harrow has 12 and Alex Poythress has 10.

Missouri is great on the boards. They lead 27-18 in the rebounding battle.

In the paint, Missouri is strong, leading 24-14.

UK is shooting 39% from the field and Missouri is at 36%.

Archie Goodwin comes out flying in the second half. First he hits a three. Then a great dunk and UK takes a 36-35 lead.

Alex Poythress who was averaging 6 points a game over his last 6 games, played his best game ever at UK. So many strong moves to the bucket. He looked like the beast Cal has been calling for. He beats Alex Oriakhi to make it 47-43 UK.

Poythress makes another powerful move to the bucket as UK goes up 57-52.

Then it's Julius Mays with ice in his veins. Shot clock is winding down and he hits a three to give UK a 62-55 lead.

Less than two minutes to go, Archie Goodwin who played a terrific second half, turns it over. Keion Bell gets the easy bucket and it's tied at 71.

With 1:01 to go, Willie Cauley-Stein turns it over. Phil Pressey scores to give Missouri the 75-73 lead.

Willie makes up for it with a layup on a nice pass from Julius Mays and ties the game at 75.

At the buzzer, Julius puts up a long three that hits the rim.

In overtime, UK takes the lead for good on a pretty play. Archie moves without the ball and Harrow finds him. UK leads 81-79.

Down the stretch, UK hit their free throws and beat Missouri in a great game. UK wins 90-83.

UK after a very cold start hits 51% from the field.

Alex Poythress was strong with 21 points and 7 rebounds. He was 8 of 10 from the field.

Archie Goodwin who was scoreless at the half finishes with 18.

Julius Mays led UK with 24.

Ryan Harrow chips in with 16.

Willie Cauley-Stein blocked 7 shots, grabbed 12 rebounds, had 7 points but was only 1 for 7 from the free throw line.

Missouri is a great rebounding team. UK won that battle 41-39.
