The Cats came out looking like a different team. They kept on pounding it inside.

Willie Cauley-Stein takes a nice pass from Julius Mays for the dunk to make it 18-9. WCS gets a technical on the dunk, and Vandy's Rod Odom misses both free throws.

Ryan Harrow who was back in the starting lineup with the nice pass to Jarrod Polson who hits the three. UK goes up 21-9.

Polson then creates one of the plays of the game. After playing tough defense, he gets the rebound and see Willie Cauley-Stein running down court ahead of everyone. WCS's dunk excites Rupp. UK goes up 23-9.

After Odom misses the two free throws, he couldn't miss. His shooting from downtown kept Vandy in the game. Another three makes it 29-23 UK.

Harrow looked comfortable. That's a nice change. His drive after Cal told the team to spread the court makes it 37-27 UK.

3 Cats are in double figures at the half. Goodwin and Stein both have 12. Willie Cauley-Stein has hit all 5 of his shots.

And it's the return of Ryan Harrow who has 10.

UK is hitting 61% from the field.

Rod Odom has hit all 4 of his shots from downtown and leads everyone with 14.

UK leads 42-34 at the half.

Julius Mays whose been hot for the last ten games with a clutch three at the end of the shot clock. Cats go up 49-37.

Nice to see Josh Harrellson who was the Y in the UK cheer during the timeout.

Archie Goodwin goes flying in for a pretty tip in. UK goes up 57-45.

Vandy didn't fold. Their effort down the stretch was better than their 3-8 SEC record.

Julius Mays with a big three after a slick fake. UK goes up 64-59.

Ryan Harrow was pushed and didn't like it. He held his ground and there was some pushing going on by both teams. Kevin Bright left Vandy's bench, which you can't do. Vandy coach Kevin Stallings was really mad at Bright and pushed him away from the court. Bright was gone from the game.

UK made a number of clutch plays down the stretch. Willie Cauley-Stein with a couple of big blocks.

Plus, the emotion from both teams was very strong.

Cats hang on to win 74-70.

Willie Cauley-Stein was a star. HIs first 20 point game, plus 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Archie Goodwin played his best game in what seems like a long time. He finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds.

Ryan Harrow had 12 points with 4 assists and no turnovers.

Cats win 74-70.
