Cal has complained about the Cats being soft. That word was not part of UK. Perhaps this is another step of this team Growing up.

If you didn't know Auburn was 9-13, you might have thought they were a better team than their record indicates. They played hard. They were very physical. They didn't look like the same team UK blew out 75-53 last month.

Jarrod Polson hits a clutch three to give UK a 16--14 lead.

After pulling a disappearing act for the first eight minutes, Alex Poythress comes pulls off two terrific moves to the bucket. UK goes up 20-14.

Auburn scores 7 straight to take a 21-20 lead with Noel Johnson hitting a shot from downtown.

Favorite play of the half was watching Willie Cauley-Stein bring the ball up as fast as he could, make the cross court pass to Kyle Wiltjer who hits the three. UK goes up 25-21.

During a time out, the 1978 NCAA Champs were introduced. How many True Blue Fans can't believe it's been 35 years.

With 1:12 to go, Auburn's Jordan Granger threw a punch at Archie Goodwin after they got tangled up. Granger was tossed from the game.

UK leads 37-31 at the half.

Kyle Wiltjer leads with 7 points.

Nerlens Noel has 6 points, 8 rebounds and no blocked shots.

Alex Poythress also has 6.

It was very physical in the second half. Nerlens Noel didn't like how he got pushed around a couple of times. Then, Kyle Wiltjer with the steal, as he goes to the bucket, Frankie Sullivan put Wiltjer on the deck. It's a flagrant foul. WIltjer makes both free throws. Cats go up 44-38.

Willie Cauley-Stein gets the crowd going when he dunks on a Julius Mays miss. UK goes up 51-42.

Kyle hits a 3 and it's 54-42. Auburn takes a time out. The emotion by the Cats on the court was strong.

Jarrod Polson makes a great play on defense stopping a 2 on1 Auburn fast break.

Alex Poythress then makes what has to be one of the best passes of the year. A behind the back dish to Willie Cauley-Stein who jams. Cats lead 57-44. At this point, with UK playing tough, you knew there was no run left for Auburn.

UK wins 72-62.

Kyle Wiltjer led UK, who had 5 players in double figures with 14.

Nerlens Noel had 10 points, 11 rebounds and 1 block.

Willie Cauley-Stein hit all 5 of his shots and finished with 12.

Ryan Harrow had 12 points and he led UK with 2 blocks.

Uncle Julius Mays had 10.
