LIU came to Rupp winless but with a reputation of being able to put the ball in the bucket.

This was no defensive clinic. Too many times early in the first half, LIU beat UK down the court for easy buckets.

WIth UK up 11-9 it turned out to be their last lead for a long time. Jamal Olasewere with a terrific dunk as LIU leads 19-17.

Archie Goodwin with the block, he leads the break and dishes to Alex Poythress who dunks to tie the game at 34.

UK finally gets the lead back when tough Jarrod Polson gets the steal and goes coast to coast giving UK a 40-38 lead.

LIU bounces back and grabs a 43-40 lead on Troy Joseph's shot from downtown.

From there is was all UK. LIU seemed to run out of gas and the Cats score the final 15 points of the half. Julius Mays gets a layup racing downcourt, takes a terrific pass from Jarrod Polson to make it 51-43 UK.

UK leads 55-43 at the half.

Nerlens is having a great half with 12 points 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Julian Boyd leads LIU with 14.

Jarrod Polson starts the second half instead of Kyle Wiltjer. Doesn't matter as UK's run continues with LIU was no longer beating UK down the court. Polson's 3 makes it 63-47 UK.

Jon Hood gets some clock. After his offensive rebound he puts in a three to make it 92-66 UK.
