Trevathan And Tydlacka Receive Honors For Performance Against Georgia

Linebacker Danny Trevathan and punter Ryan Tydlacka have been recognized for their efforts in Kentucky's game at Georgia on Saturday.

Trevathan was one of five players who received an "SEC Helmet Sticker" from Chris Low, Southeastern Conference beat writer for Trevathan was Honorable-Mention (national) Linebacker of the Week from the College Football Performance Awards and Tydlacka was Honorable Mention Punter of the Week.

Trevathan notched 17 tackles, the third time in the last four games he has tied his career-high tackle total. Trevathan had three tackles for loss, including a quarterback sack. He also caused two fumbles, both of which were recovered by the Wildcats. For the season, Trevathan continues to lead the SEC in total tackles (135) and is now tied for the league lead in fumbles caused (five). This is the fourth time this season he has been honored by the College Football Performance Awards and second time he has garnered an SEC helmet sticker.

Tydlacka punted eight times for a 46.4-yard average, including a long punt of 63 yards. He had three punts inside the Georgia 20-yard line. Kentucky had a net punting average of 41.1 yards. This is the fifth time in 11 games this season that Tydlacka has been honored by the CFPA.
