Joker Phillips is coaching in his final game at Kentucky, against the team that he beat his senior year as a player and last year as a coach, ending the 26-year losing streak.

Tennessee is without Derek Dooley, who was fired and is not coaching the final game. Neither one of these teams have won an SEC game this season. It's Tennessee that took the lead into the locker room, 20-14.

The opening drive saw Tennessee march down the field 80 yards to score on a 21 yard touchdown pass from Tyler Bray and the Vols took a 7-0 lead.

But on Kentucky's opening drive, Jalen Whitlow was superb. He did it with his feet and his arm. It was a 75 yard drive capped off by a 1-yd pass from Whitlow to fullback D.J. Warren to tie the game.

The Cats tried an on-side kick that backfired and led to another Tennessee touchdown to put the Vols up 14-7.

Kentucky wasn't able to put a drive together and gave the ball back to Tennessee. Tyler Bray then threw a 42-yard strike to Justin Hunter. The extra point was blocked at UT led UK 20-7 early in the second quarter.

But the Cats weren't about to roll over. Next drive, Whitlow hands it off to Jonathan George who blew past everyone untouched 45 yards for the score and with that, Tennessee's lead was cut to 20-14.

Patrick Towles came in to the game in the second quarter and had the Cats moving pretty well. They had a 4th and inches situation and lost two yards on the play to turn the ball back over the Tennessee with three minutes to go in the half.

Uk's defense sacked Tyler Bray and got the ball back with two minutes to go and got into field goal range where Craig McIntosh missed a 36 yarder.
