According to Rivals.com, Butler Community College wide receiver Javess Blue has committed to Kentucky.
Blue (6-1, 194) is Mark Stoops' six commitment since taking over the Kentucky head coaching job in late November.
The following is an analysis of Blue by ESPN:
Blue is an explosive playmaker as an outside threat and punt return specialist. He consistently demonstrates the ability to stretch the field. He has good height, a sleek build, long arms and is a long strider with very deceptive speed -- he covers a lot of ground quickly. Blue shows quick feet and good surge off the line of scrimmage. He's very confident and attacks the football. He has excellent hands and the ability to snatch the ball away from his body. He can also track the vertical ball and make adjustments to bad balls. He shows excellent body control and sideline awareness. He is an adequate route runner -- very smooth in and out of his cuts for a taller receiver -- and has a nice little short-area burst. QB's can throw the ball up to Blue and he will go get it. His combination of size and speed give him a vertical presence on the outside, but he has a real knack for working the underneath and intermediate zones and is excellent after the catch. He is very explosive in all his movements and this shows up in the return game. Blue can flip field position and is a naturally instinctive open-field runner as a pass catcher and return man. Blue has the skill set to be an immediate contributor and possible impact guy in the right situation.
