MISC. NOTES

* - SEC has six teams ranked in the top 11 of this week's USA Today Coaches Poll and six of the top 12 in the Associated Press poll. This week's SEC teams ranked are: Georgia 4th in USA Today and 5th in AP; Alabama 4th in AP and 5th in USA Today; Florida 7th in both polls; LSU 8th in both polls; Texas A&M 9th in AP and 10th in USA Today; and, South Carolina 11th in USA Today and 12th in AP.

* - Georgia has clinched a berth in the SEC Football Championship Game as the Eastern Division representative. Georgia and Florida are co-champions of the division with Georgia winning the tie-breaker with its 17-9 win on Oct. 27 against Florida.

Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M are all mathematically eligible to reach the SEC Football Championship Game as the Western Division representative. Here are the scenarios:

1) If Alabama defeats Auburn on Nov. 24, the Tide are the Western Division Champions and representatives of the Western Division

2) If Alabama loses to Auburn, Texas A&M defeats Missouri and LSU defeats Arkansas (all games on Nov. 23-24), there will be a three-team tie for the Western Division championship and LSU would get the tie-breaker because:

a) All three teams have a 1-1 record against each other

b) Texas A&M and LSU would have a 5-1 division record while Alabama would have a 4-2 division record, thus eliminating Alabama

c) LSU defeated Texas A&M 24-19 on Oct. 20, thus the Tigers would win the tie-breaker

3) If Alabama loses to Auburn, Texas A&M defeats Missouri and Arkansas defeats LSU (all games on Nov. 23-24), Texas A&M and Alabama would finish in a tie for the Western Division Championship. Texas A&M would win the tie-breaker due to its 29-24 win on Nov. 10.

* - Of the 11 FBS conferences, the SEC intra-conference games had the third lowest average scoring margin in yesterday's games at 14.17 ppg. The MAC was first at 8.5 ppg and the Sun Belt was second at 13.7 ppg.

* - Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel (offense) and South Carolina's D.J. Swearinger (defense) are this week's Walter Camp National Player of the Week recipients.

* - According to CBS, the Texas A&M-Alabama game garnered a 6.6 rating/14 share in overnights, which is the second highest rating of the year in college football, behind only CBS Sports' 7.0 rating / 13 share of the Alabama at LSU game the week before.

* - In 82 SEC home games this season, there have been 43 sellouts with average capacity at 96.29 percent. More than 6.1 million fans have attended SEC games this season, eighth highest in league history.

* - Manziel now has 1,014 rushing yards this season, which is the second highest total for a quarterback in a season (behind Auburn Cam Newton 1,473 yards in 2010)

* - The SEC will not have an unbeaten team in conference play for the first time since 2007. Prior to that, the SEC had only one season (2004) with an unbeaten team since 1999.

* - The Missouri-Tennessee was the third 4-overtime game in SEC history and seventh 4+ overtime game in league history.

* - SEC teams are now 37-7 (.841) in non-conference play this season. Since 1992, the league is 769-232-2 (.768) against non-conference teams (including bowl games).
