Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo is done for the season.
According to ESPN on ABC, Rondo will have surgery on his right knee to repair a torn ACL. The Celtics initially termed his injury a "hyperextension."
The Kentucky product injured his knee Friday versus the Atlanta Hawks.
Rondo, who was voted a starter for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star game, was averaging 13.7 points, 11.1 assists (best in NBA), 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game this season.
