The pace was fast. Sloppy was the name of the game for UK in the first half.
After UK takes a 4-zip lead, Florida grabs a 10-6 lead as Archie, Ryan, Nerlens, Archie again, Nerlens again and then Kyle already have turnovers.
Kentucky, thanks to Archie Goodwin and Ryan Harrow were taking too many out of control shots.
Plus, Florida's tough defense made it difficult for UK to run their offense.
Plus, Florida was hitting from downtown.
Florida hits three 3's in a row to make it 31-19. Kenny Boyton made the last one as Florida at this point hit 5 of 6 from downtown.
During a timeout, Cal told ESPN that there were Cats playing "timid."
Cats finally found Kyle Wiltjer who hits a 3 to make it 36-25 Florida.
Florida leads at the half 38-25.
UK is hitting only 41%.
Florida is not only hitting 53% from the field but they are 5 of 7 from downtown for 71%.
UK has 11 turnovers. Florida has 6.
Mike Rosario leads everyone with 10.
Kyle Wiltjer hit both of his shots and leads UK with 5.
Archie, Nerlens and Willie Cauley-Stein all have 2 fouls.
UK started the same lineup in the second half, which had to make some True Blue Fans scratch their heads.
Archie goes the bucket, gets a charging call and Cal screams at him to pass the ball because UK had a 3 on 1.
True Blue Fans had their hearts broken. After a UK turnover, Nerlens tried to make up for his mistake by flying down the court to block Mike Rosario's shot. He banged his left knee coming down and hit the goal post. Nerlens was down for a long time, in an incredible amount of pain and then his teammates carried him off the court.
"His leg was wobbly, knee looked dislocated," says Florida's Patrick Young. "It was gruesome. I don't want to think about it."
"I was scared," says Rosario. "I went up for the shot and here's this 7-footer coming after me. I hope he has a speedy recovery."
After that, there was no interest in the game. Everyone was concerned about Nerlens knee.
Florida beats UK 69-52. They had 5 players in double figures led by Scottie Wibekin's 14 points.
Florida shoots 49% from the field. UK hit 42%.
Julius Mays and Willie Cauley-Stein led UK with 10.
