It's almost one year ago to the day, and Mike Hartline remembers it well.

The UK quarterback ripped his knee in the first half against South Carolina, virtually ending his season last year.

"It hurts knowing that you went down in that game," said Hartline.

Yes, he remembers. He also wonders what if? If he hadn't gone down, would Kentucky have won that game? Hartline was playing perhaps his best game as a Cat to that point when he was injured. Would there have even been a quarterback battle this fall?

Who knows? But Hartline isn't going to let himself think about it on Saturday.

"You try not to think about it and you know it's a different year and a different team," the UK quarterback said.

"It's more or less just about us getting a win right now in the SEC, not more or less me finishing what I was starting to do last year. In that regard, you just kind of put it in your past and don't really try to think about it too much."

Hartline seems to be going in with the right attitude and true blue fans hope it doesn't creep in to the back of his mind on Saturday.
