He's tired, but he doesn't want to say he's tired.
For a while, Ryan Harrow was giving UK a big spark.
Recently, that hasn't been happening.
Recently, Cal hasn't been complimenting his point guard.
"Just need to get more energy and lead the guys basically," says Harrow. "And be more vocal."
He looks worn down. It's a long season. It happens.
"I don't want to use that as an excuse. I just want to keep fighting through it."
Harrow and the Cats are expecting Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson, the leading scorer in the SEC to talk trash. Harrow is funny about this ridiculous idea. That any opposing player could possibly get in the heads of the Cats.
"I don't think anybody could get into our heads after playing for Coach Cal. I think we'll be okay."
There have been too many comparisons to last year's team. If there ever was a comment that tells you this year is different, with UK desperately needing a win over a Top 25 team, that's Ole Miss, Harrow doesn't think the pressure is on the Cats.
"It's big for us but I think it's bigger for them because they are the ones that are supposed to win. If we come out there and beat them, it will be a good thing for us. We just have to be ready to play them and be physical."
The Cats are the underdogs. Do you think any of these freshman thought they were going to be underdogs when they signed to play at UK, when they were going to go to places like Ole Miss?
