Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein was named SEC Freshman of the Week Monday, after scoring 11 points and pulling down 11 rebounds against Eastern Michigan last week.
Cauley-Stein made the most of his second career start, as UK dominated in its final non-conference action of the season.
Cauley-Stein logged his second career double-double of the year in the 90-38 victory. The 7-foot, 244-pound forward was the first UK player to tally multiple double-doubles this season. He went 5-for-6 from the field, and pitched in defensively with a pair of blocks and two steals.
He joins teammates Archie Goodwin and Alex Poythress as other UK Freshman of the Week honorees this season. Sophomore Kyle Wiltjer earned SEC Player of the Week accolades this season.
