Mitch Barnhart hasn't spoken to the media since he announced Joker Phillips would no longer be the coach. In fact, he didn't speak to the media then, only released a letter.

After the Tennessee game, Barnhart talked about the job search in vague terms. He did say that no one has been extended an offer yet.

"No one's been offered the job. People have been responsive to talking about the job. It's much different then the last time we were looking on probation looking at 19 scholarships down there wasn't a lot of people thinking it was a really great opportunity," Barnhart said.

Barnhart said because of the young talent on this team, and it's affiliation with the Southeastern Conference, there is interest out there.

"This is a good job. People are excited about the opportunity to coach in our league, to coach at the University of Kentucky," said Barnhart.

So what kind of coach is Barnhart looking for? He wouldn't get in to specifics, just that it had to be the right fit.

"You'll know it when you see it, you'll know it when you feel it. There's no blueprint for these things. We're looking for the right fit."

As far as when it will happen, Barnhart wouldn't talk about that either.

"We don't have a time table. Like I said, we'll continue to respect the process and work out way through it. We've been working at it since we made the change a couple of weeks ago."
